Due to
the nature of the shipping process, Video Vault NE cannot be
responsible for tapes lost or damaged in transit. If your tapes are
highly valuable or irreplaceable, we suggest shipping by a verified
shipping service with insurance. These shipping methods involve
additional cost which you must bear. Returning tapes to you by these
verified methods will also involve additional cost - contact us for
more details. U.S. Postal Service
Using the US Postal Service you can ship your
packages with Delivery Confirmation, as Certified Mail, or as
Registered Mail.
Delivery Confirmation
provides a web based method of verifying that a package was
delivered by the Postal Service to a specific address.
Delivery confirmation does not verify that Video Vault has received
your tapes or a signature - only that the Postal Service has
delivered the tapes to our mailbox.
Certified
Mail will allow you to obtain a delivery signature for your
tapes. Certified mail returns a card to you with the signature of
the recipient shown and will verify delivery to our door step.
Registered
Mail is signed for by each person that handles you package along
the route and returns a signature card to you with the signature of
the final recipient will verify delivery to our door step. Please
note that registered mail must be sealed at each seam with un-waxed
plain paper tape.
Insured
Mail both Certified and Registered mail can be insured and
insure your tapes for a selected value. Be aware that the Insurer
may claim that the tapes only value is the cost of the tape itself -
not the contents.
Special
Note on Priority Mail Shipping Containers - you cannot use US
Post Office supplied Priority Mail shipping boxes for any service
other than Priority Mail.
Federal Express, UPS, and DHL You can use a
Federal Express,
UPS,
DHL, or another
commercial carrier to ship your packages. All commercial have
tracking and delivery confirmation by signature on request . Be sure
to request that the package be signed for if you want this feature
as they typically deliver packages without a signature unless that
service is specifically requested. You may insure your packages
through these services. You can now find Federal
Express counters in most
Kinko's Copy
Centers and find UPS in every
UPS Store (formerly Mailbox, etc) locations. These services will
also pick up at your doorstep for a small fee. |
